Our Board...

Jim Cook (Montague) - President - lives in Montague and is former Siskiyou County Supervisor. Mr. Cook is currently a Project Manager for several grant programs in our regional communities and performs Consulting services for economic development projects and also for solving infrastructure challenges. Jim works in Siskiyou, Trinity, and Modoc counties managing approximately 11 million dollars in projects.

Jim Berry (Yreka) - Treasurer - lives in Yreka and is Accounting Manager for Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Oregon, and was previously Chief Financial Officer of Karuk Community Development Corp (KCDC). That followed the position of Executive Director for Karuk Tribal Housing. Jim is a Karuk Tribal member with work experience in three Siskiyou County offices as well as with Timberline Bank. He holds both Bachelor of Science and Masters degrees in Business Administration.

Ellen Johnson (Happy Camp) - lives in Happy Camp and is a member of the Karuk Tribe, currently employed by the Tribe's Administration office. As well as participating as a Board member for KCLF, she is a member of the Board of Directors for the Karuk Community Development Corp and also for the Happy Camp Cemetery District. Ellen was formerly an owner of a Happy Camp grocery store, and later managed the Karuk Hardware store.

Rick Hill (Seiad Valley) - lives in Seiad Valley and has lived in Siskiyou County since 1978. His background includes being a freelance graphic designer and artist, and he is a technical writer and planner. Before recently retiring, he worked for the U.S. Forest Service, Karuk Tribe, and the Karuk Community Development Corporation as a Resource Developer.

Daniel Goodwin (Happy Camp) - was born and raised in Happy Camp where he lives with his wife and two young daughters. He is a member of the Karuk Tribe and has been the Supervisor for the Karuk Tribe's Maintenance department since 2010. Daniel began employment with the Tribe right out of high school, working for both the Tribe's Department of Natural Resources (DNR) in Fisheries and for the "Karuk 1" Hot Shot Fire Crew.

Sheila Super (Yreka) - lives in Yreka where she is currently employed as a medical coder for the Karuk Medical Clinic, and has also worked for the Karuk Tribe Housing Authority. She is a Tribal member and a business owner of "Super Auto Detailing" plus a videographer at the Siskiyou Motor Speedway. Her family is actively involved in their community and in youth sports. Sheila is also employed by In Home Health Services caring for elderly residents, which is her passion.

Elsa Goodwin (Happy Camp) - is a Tribal member who lives in Happy Camp and is a "Member at Large" on the Karuk Tribal Council. Previously employed as the Tenant Relations Officer for the Karuk Tribe Housing Authority, Elsa also served as an Administrative Assistant for the Tribe's Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program. Her experience with the Tribal Employee Rights Ordinance (TERO) and the Happy Camp High School Booster Club makes her a great asset to the Board of Karuk Community Loan Fund.
